The Hurricane RC is an electric remote controlled monitor, with a single low-profile waterway discharge. The Hurricane RC has high flow and low friction loss characteristics. Capable of flowing 1250 gpm (4750 l/min) while maintaining a FULL 450° rotational travel (225° either side of center). Maximum operating pressure is 200 psi (14 bar). Field changeable horizontal rotation stops at 45, 90 and 135° either side of center position. Elevation range is 90° above horizontal to 45° below. Designed for 12 VDC or 24 VDC volt operation, selection is automatic. The Hurricane RC comes with a control panel mounted on the monitor for horizontal rotation, elevation, nozzle pattern, programmable PARK and Oscillate. The motor control circuits are factory installed on the monitor and use position encoders and current limiting to protect the drive train at the ends of travel. Unit comes with 30 feet (9m) of ultra-flexing robotics power cable already wired to the monitor, and is enclosed in a unique cable guide that allows FULL 450° of horizontal travel, which is far more reliable than slip rings or coil cords. Knobs for manual override are also provided. TFT’s Master Stream 1250 ER nozzle plugs into the factory installed nozzle power wire. Electric drives and control box are waterproof. Standard outlet is 2.5” NH (65 mm) male thread. A built-in automatic drain protects the monitor from freezing. A threaded port ¼” NPT (6 mm) is provided for optional pressure gauge. The monitor is made from hard coat anodized ANSI 356-T6 aluminum and silver powder coat finish inside and out. All TFT RC monitors are capable of being controlled by a programmable logic controller with full three-axis position control & feedback using the Allen Bradley EtherNet/IP protocol.
