How to Connect Flex® to the SmartPlex App
Before you can program, operate, or service your Flex Monitor through the TFT SmartPlex App, you need to pair your device over Bluetooth. This process takes just a few seconds and gives you access to the Monitor Hub and any connected accessories.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Enable Bluetooth and Launch the App
- Open the SmartPlex App on your mobile device.
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
- Scan for Nearby Devices
- On the opening screen of the app, you should see a list of available devices.
- If your Flex Monitor does not appear, tap Scan to refresh the device list.
- Select and Connect to Your Monitor
- Identify your monitor by its serial number and device name.
- Tap Connect next to the correct listing.
- Once paired, the app will display a confirmation, and a blue LED will light up on the side of the Flex Monitor’s electronics hub.
- Access Connected Devices
- Tap Explore Connected Devices in the app.
- You’ll see the monitor’s serial number and any linked accessories (e.g., controllers, VUMs, extended guns).
- Select the Device for Operation
- Tap the serial number of the device you want to interact with.
- The app will display system information including circuit board revision, voltage, and available features.
- Enter the Monitor Hub
- Tap Options to enter the Monitor Hub for the selected device.
- From here, you can operate, program, and service your monitor.
