How to Program Stow on Flex® from a Controller

If you’re working directly with a Flex Monitor and have a connected controller—either wireless or panel-mounted—you can program custom Stow and Deploy positions without using the TFT SmartPlex App. This is ideal for quick field setups or when a mobile device isn’t available.

What You Need Before You Start

  • The monitor must be powered on.
  • You must begin the Stow programming process within 1 minute of startup.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Power On the Monitor
    • Ensure incoming power is connected.
    • Be ready to act within the first 60 seconds.
  2. Enter Program Stow Mode
    • Press and hold the Stow/Deploy button on the controller for 5–10 seconds.
    • The controller will begin flashing yellow to confirm you’ve entered programming mode.
  3. Move the Monitor
    • Adjust the monitor to your desired Stow position using the controller.
  4. Save the Position
    • Tap the Stow/Deploy button once.
    • A white flash confirms the position has been stored.
  5. Exit Programming Mode
    • Press and hold the Stow/Deploy button again for 5–10 seconds.
    • The controller will turn blue, confirming you’ve exited programming mode.
  6. Operate the Stow Function
    • Move the monitor freely as needed.
    • To test the stow, press the Stow button once.
    • The controller will flash yellow while stowing, then turn blue once complete.
  7. Deploy the Monitor
    • Press the Stow/Deploy button again.
    • The monitor will move to a preset deploy position, typically 50% horizontal and 50% vertical.
