What Is The BlitzTac Monitor?

The BlitzTac is a lightweight and versatile portable attack monitor designed for efficiency and safety on the fireground. Despite its compact size, it allows a single firefighter with one hose to deliver up to 500 GPM (2000 LPM) to the fire, freeing up other crew members to focus on additional tasks.

What Problems Does The BlitzTac Solve?

  • Limited Firefighting Personnel: When staffing is low, the BlitzTac allows a single firefighter to initiate an effective attack with just one hose line. The BlitzTac can also operate unassisted.
  • Risk of Uncontrolled Monitors: In unstable conditions, the BlitzTac’s built-in safety gating inlet engages and reduces flow, preventing uncontrolled movement and minimizing the risk of injury and equipment damage.
  • Challenges in Achieving Optimal Attack Angles: Firefighters often need to adjust their attack angles depending on the situation. The BlitzTac offers flexibility with adjustable angles ranging from 25 to 50 degrees unassisted and 10-50 degrees assisted.
  • Limited Storage Space on Apparatus: The BlitzTac can be mounted or stored easily in a compartment or preconnected to a hoseline.

Stream Range

The BlitzTac provides 40 total degrees of horizontal range, allowing 20 degrees of movement both left and right of center. Vertically, it offers an unassisted range of 25 to 50 degrees, and an assisted range of 10 to 50 degrees, giving firefighters the ability to adjust the monitor to suit various angles of attack without additional support.

Integrated Safety Gating Inlet

The swiveling inlet directs the hose line toward the ground for added monitor stability. The integrated safety gating inlet protects your crew from unintended monitor movement and easily resets if tripped.

Flow Rate

The BlitzTac’s high flow rate allows for powerful water delivery, which is essential for quickly knocking down fires. The ability to flow up to 500 GPM (2000 LPM) ensures that firefighters can tackle even the most demanding fire scenarios with confidence, whether in an initial attack or for exposure protection.

Operate Unassisted

The BlitzTac can operate without direct human intervention, allowing firefighters to focus on other critical tasks. This capability is especially valuable in situations where staffing is limited, as it enables effective firefighting with fewer personnel on hand. A safety tiedown strap comes with the BlitzTac that meets the minimum NFPA safety guidelines.

Carbide-Tipped Legs

The heavy-duty, carbide-tipped legs provide enhanced stability on a variety of surfaces, ensuring that the monitor remains securely in place during operation. This feature is particularly beneficial when deploying on uneven or slippery terrain, where maintaining a stable position is crucial for effective firefighting.

Built-In Carrying Handle

The BlitzTac features a built-in carrying handle, making it easy to transport and quickly deploy in the field. The handle is ergonomically designed to provide a comfortable grip, allowing firefighters to carry the monitor with ease, even in challenging conditions.

Mounting and Storage

The BlitzTac can be easily mounted to any accessible vertical or horizontal surface on a fire apparatus or stored in a compartment for quick access. This convenient mounting and storage option ensures that the monitor is always ready for rapid deployment, saving valuable time during emergency operations.

Available Nozzle Pairings

The BlitzTac can be paired with a variety of nozzles, including standard, low-pressure, dual-pressure automatic, fixed gallonage, stacked tips, and foam tubes. This flexibility allows firefighters to tailor their equipment to the specific needs of the incident, ensuring the most effective water or foam delivery for the task at hand.
