Fire Watch: Ventura County Fire Department

Ventura County Fire Department has been serving their community since 1928. They serve a population of roughly 600,000 in a response district that includes cities, unincorporated areas, and wild land.

On a given day, the Ventura County crew may face an urban or suburban structure fire, wildland fire, or need to deploy their emergency medical service with paramedics and advanced life support.

In this episode of Fire Watch, Battalion Chief Fred Burris discusses the challenges and lessons they’ve learned at Ventura County as they face a variety of different fires.

He also discusses the department’s experience with TFT’s Ball Intake Valves and Metro Nozzles
